It is going to be called The Last Witch because the last witch to be convicted was in Hertford, although she escaped execution. The building was the local Conservative club until recently when it seemed to lack customers! Photo taken with Minolta Dimage 7Hi at 28mm equivalent wide angle.

We can have a meet there when it opens can't we. Do be sure to take a picture of it when opened for comparison with this one.

It should have been open before Christmas but they're running late with planning delays etc. Be good to have a Spring 2003 meet there. It is good to have before and after pics - the before ones are not always so easy ......

Did Wetherspoons ever finish this pub and did you get an up to date shot for comparison? That company generally has a good record for sympathetic conversions of nice old buildings.

Wetherspoons are running over 3 years late too! There have been local planning problems and the Wetherspoons expansion plans seem to have been cut back recently so we are still waiting. I hope they will get round to it one day.
