  1. UKIP

A friend of mine was (surprisingly) voted in as a County Councillor for his area of Lincolnshire. He was representing UKIP and I am sure he will do his best for the area he represents. I'm not a big fan of Nigel Farage but I am also not happy with the way the European Union has been working out...

So Osborne thinks giving £1200 a year per child to couples earning over £5000 a week is a good use of our taxes? Why should I be surprised any more? sp_na Andy

  4. Thumbs up South Ruislip news

Hi all, I have spent most of my life in South Ruislip - I was born in a house half a mile from where I am sitting now. It has been neat to see the area develop over the decades. As a lad I felt that the massive local South Ruislip American Air Force base was special and added a lot to the...

  5. Helicopter crash in Vauxhall

The big news this morning is of the helicopter crash in Vauxhall... A bit close to home for me as I made a flight along the Thames only a few weeks ago. Especially now that I learn that the helicopter had flown this morning from Redhill - the same airport as our flight. It's very sad to hear...

I notice today in the news there was a boy who managed to get on a flight to Italy from Manchester without even a passport! It seems unbelievable that with the Olympics just a couple of days ago and security supposedly at an all time high that this could have happened.
