As you may have seen I have just got a Panasonic DMC FZ8 - and am just getting to grips with it.
I am looking to get another battery to keep as a spare - it takes a CGR-s006A 7.2v (710mAh supplied with it) battery - I believe the same as Fz7 / FZ30 / 50 etc.
My question - rather than...
I've recently bought the Panasonic Lumix TZ3 - anyone else got one of these?
Seems a great little camera, and it has a 10x optical zoom.
Still getting to grips with it. Uploaded one photo so far onto here.
Hi. I am a bit new to all this and at presnet do not want a SLR. Therefore, i was looking at a bridge camera and have come up with the FZ50.However, then i saw the FZ18 and now, very confused. I want manaual functions and already have a fairly new Canon compact camera that has allowed me to play...
Panasonic's next camera in their FZ10/20/30 range is due out in September. It is called the FZ50.
The press release from Panasonic is below.

When shooting in my local soprts hall the shots are blurey and never come out any good, now the lighting isnt very good in there its that yellow/orangey effect, is there away to set the camera up to deal with this issue ?
I bought FZ5 recently and now found out that pictures taken with zoom(when more than 6x) are quite blurry and with more time spending, i found out that subject is getting out of focus with a very little shake. I tried with a tripod as well but there seems to be a problem while focussing on...
The Panasonic FZ30 manual makes it clear that the max SD card size that can be used in this camera is 2GB.
This appears to be because the SD standard is moving on and changing the type of formatting used in larger cards, and most current hardware uses the older standard not the new....
The Panasonic FZ30 still seems to be one of the most advanced cameras out there for a lot of uses... but I see the price is now really really low from some suppliers.
To see what full price was I tried Jessops:...
I see Panasonic have started another of their product auctions. It will run for a few days yet and is a way to buy direct from the makers at what they consider a special price.
The FZ30 and other cameras and TVs and so on are included... I think there may be lower prices about...
With 8 mega pixel this camera looks like its going to be one of the main players for Christmas and the new year.
It's on my list of cameras to replace my Fuji, just hope the cost doesnt push it into the likes of Canons 20d etc
Panasonic have joined the DSLR market and made some announcements at the PMA Show in Orlando today:
They have just announced a new DSLR here.
And a stabilised Leica 4/3 format lens here.
And also a Joint announcement with Olympus here.
I have had chance to take a good number of photos with my recently acquired Panasonic FZ-20 camera now, so I thought I'd share a couple of thoughts on it...
The lens still seems amazing, and this is a 'for instance' below...
The Whitehouse isn't all that close is it:
I see the FZ30 is listed on the Panasonic Website as being available from the 10th of September. Do you think it will be long after that before thay start appearing in local shops?
I'm realy feeling tempted by this camera, what do you think?
Thought I'd take the chance and buy an iPod photo attachment for my iPod. Cost £23-ish inc P&P. Wasnt 100% sure it would work, but it has
What it does, automagically, is download all the pictures in the card in your camera, onto the iPod. You can also view them, though the iPod screen...
Thinking of buying a fz5, anyone got one? Had a play with one and now fallen in love with it. Not to interested in specs just thinks its sooo sexy, and sure pics will be better than my old Sony

Hi Mark and welcome.
I'm interested in getting a DMC-FZ20 as it seems to get good reviews. What do you think of it so far. Any disadvantages spotted yet?
I started this thread after some discussion on another one (buying F20) re the merits of different speed SD cards.
First of all let me say that these 'results', if they can be called that, are entirely subjective, were not timed with a stopwatch, or done 'blind'. They also only apply *for...
The Panasonic FZ5 has the following 'Picture Adjustment' settings:
Standard, Natural and Vivid. Very little information is given about these settings in the user manual, except that 'Natural' makes the picture look 'softer' What does this mean? Which is the 'recommended' or most common setting...
I currently own an Ixus 700 as a second camera. The ixus takes great pics and is meant as a point and shoot. It does not have any manual control, but are not needed for a second camera that is a point and shoot. The only thing it lacks in my view is a decent zoom. I'm used to going from 30 - 520...
>> I noticed your camera is doing well on here
If you look around here lots you'll find me explaining details on some of my cameras, and I think I have 6 in total at present. Also you'll find me saying I expect to get something similar to a Canon 1Ds mkII this year, hopefully...
I still love my Panasonic FZ20...so I thought I'd share another Zoom example from it.. both photos are with the camera just handheld and not resting on anything.
These two photos below are cut down in size/quality examples of both ends of the range of the lens attached to the camera.
 I have just taken possession of a fz20.
I have been an AP for a number of years but my wife has only started last year.
She has become keen on nature photography and on some of her shots, a red edge has appeared around various parts of the photo when using full zoom.
