A weekend trip to Boston

For years a friend who lives in Waban to the west of Boston, MA has been coming over to the annual Convention of The Stereoscopic Society.

He's now nearly 80 and has had some mobility issues, so I thought it might be nice to visit him with Blanka, my partner. She is from Slovakia which is part of the European Union, but her passport was issued before the advent of the "chipped" biometric passports and, sadly, the USA require Slovakians with unchipped passports to get a visa.
