Well, the time leading up to the London Olympics has seemed a little fraught in some ways.

This week started off with Natasha having a driving lesson. Normally a minor thing and she drives well already. This time round something happened though, someone walked out into the road, and into the side of her car. She and the instructor applied emergency breaking at the same time but the pedestrian still fell back onto the road and sustained a head wound.

It is neat that 2011 is starting out so well weather wise isn't it.
I have been really pleased to see wildlife starting to return to the garden, at last. For a very long time I seemed to see very little out there.
That wasn't helped by a local cat setting up home inside a covered garden hammock we have in a corner. I think that frightened off many birds etc.

Just a line to say that it is snowing here in London today.
This is the first snow I have seen this winter. There was a little about this morning and at present there is no settled snow in this area.. so we'll have to see how things progress.
If you live in an area with settled snow why not show us with some photos?
I do love the snow photos each year.. particularly when someone manages to capture a Robin photo or something else
