Cool Need assistance with my DVD recorder when connecting XBOX360.?

Hello, so basically I'm trying to record my xbox 360 footage through my dvd recorder, (Liteon LVW-5115 GHC+) but basically whenever I plug it in (using the RYW components) on the front AV socket of the dvd recorder and my xbox 360 is set to 60hz, the image is really pixely and won't record anything, but if i set the xbox 360 to 50hz it isnt pixely and works and records fine, is this anything to do with using the RYW components? I also read on the site that the DVD recorder supports 50/60hz so i don't understand why this is an issue, also someone told me it should work fine on 60hz and I shouldn't have to change anything, other people have said i need to switch it into 60hz mode,(NTSC), and also someone else said if I switch the socket on the back of the xbox to HD (socket in which the RYW component comes from) but mine does not have the option, and it does not have the RGB connectors either its just a standard RYW, so how would I go about fixing the issue so that the DVD recorder works when recording 60hz, because all my games only run in 60hz.

Or will my dvd recorder just not work at all with NTSC 60hz even though it says 60hz on its specifications on their website?

    Thanks!

    Tom,

I suspect nobody else here will have that model and an XBOX 360. Personally I have a PS3 and a Panasonic but I don't record the games anyway.

The normal starting place with a question like that would be to just ask the makers, and the Web site seems to ask for emails of any technical questions you may have. You probably know the site address is: http://www.liteonit.com/global/home.html

I looked for any details of this problem and Google showed me your message here, posted 6 mins back at the time.. amazing how they do that. It also showed you asking elsewhere and getting told to throw a switch on the XBOX 360 to go to HD.

So, I looked at the XBOX 360 HD instructions and they may be of help, I dunno.. they are here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906663?sd=xbox

The specs of your machine seem to be here: http://www.liteonit.com/global/index...1&limitstart=1

Sorry I don't have an actual solution for you. Trying all the possible settings and leads may be the only way to decide what actually works for you, if anything does.

I wonder what other XBOX 360 users are recording onto and how.. you could try asking some on the XBOX Web site.

    Good luck with it.

    Steve

Well, thanks for the support anyway, I suspect it may just not work because it supports 60hz but only PAL and it might be something to do with it being NTSC on the xbox or whatnot, I've also heard around about the scart cable connecting to the television may need to be upgraded, and to try connecting with the RGB xbox cables, ( but my tv doesnt have HD >_>)
