Question A few different problems .

    Hi there !

I have the fujifilm A235 , & it has done me well since i got it , taking photos of all my moments .. but last week , it stopped saving my photos to memory card ? when there is a memory card in , & i take a picture , the number saying how many photos you can take doesnt go down? & it will show me the photo ive taken , But not save it.

Also , when i take the memory card out , it says Pictures on internal memory , with a little camera sign at the bottom right corner of the screen saying 'IN' on it . I have tried copying to memory card , but then it just says NO IMAGES , or even CARD ERROR. I have tried three different cards & this is happening with them all. Im kinda getting frustrated as i always have my camera with me , & at the moment i cant use it at all as it wont save the pictures! I need help getting the photos to save onto the memory card again. I am clueless at this moment, & if anyone can help me i will be very grateful,

    Thanks

Re: A few different problems .

    Dee,

A few thoughts incase one helps in some way..

I'd check the batteries were fresh, probably inserting a new set of good batteries just to be sure.

If this was my camera I would be attempting to copy all photos off the internal memory and the main card I normally use. I would then remove the card from the camera and attempt to format the internal memory. This may fix any corruption problem, and of course it will delete any stored photos.

I would probably also then put the card back in and format that too. This again will of course cause the loss of any photos on the card you format.

I'd hope to find everything back to normal.

I'm going on some items mentioned in the manual that seems to cover this camera and some others, I found that here: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digi..._manual_01.pdf

If you can't get it going if you bought it from a decent local shop you could try wandering in with it and asking them if they have any idea what is up. I do that with my mobile phones and it sometimes works out well.

My final thought for now is that the normal notions of sending it for repair may not apply if it is out of guarantee, as the A235 seems to be available brand new for under £50 and getting a shiny new one and using all the bits from your existing one might be faster/simpler if it came to that.

All the best Dee, and welcome to ukexpert.
