Advice on new camera.

I'm looking to buy a new digital SLR. Jessops have a deal on the Cannon EOS 1100D - complete with 2 lenses, card, filters and bag for £450. Any thoughts on this camera? Or any other advice on a good reasonably priced digital SLR?

Sounds like fun.

I looked around at prices and of course the camera and standard lens can be had for £330 it seems.

It would be neat if other Canon users commented. I use a Pentax myself.

If you do get it a tip for you is that I suggest taking some neat clear interesting photos and putting them into the competition area, as I am ever so keen to give out some neat prizes in there at present - just need some suitable entries.

Looking around for info on that camera I saw some mention of it being designed to work with eyefi cards. I have always wondered about those but have not got any. If you do try one do say how it goes, these days I wonder about how one might work with an iPad alongside the camera.
