Walter,
It seems to talk of it being open Sunday anyway... so maybe some will go for a free look around before the Olympics starts to make moving about in London impossible...<g>
I liked all the other Olympic stories linked from the BBC news on the front of ukexpert.. they explain that the Typhoons are also back in position, and will shoot down anything that strays into the 30 mile wide area from tonight onwards... well if they ignore all warnings etc etc they will...
You can't help feeling that the biggest risk at this olympics is that someone charged with guarding it will flip and take out the whole thing, or at least thousands of people. A lot of kids will be there armed to the teeth from the sound of things... and we all know that young men do flip and go on killing sprees etc... and much more often than terrorists use planes etc in terror attacks I think...

Steve,
The weather forecast at Greenwich looks to be dry on Sunday.
Walter,
If you go look around inside it I look forward to seeing the photos!
I do want to photograph the outside of it and also things like the Olympic site and the missiles on the roof of peoples homes etc etc... so if you are keen for a walk and photograph session up there again then we could just see who else is interested and go do it. We just have to get it done before they 'close down London' the way they seem to plan to...

Walter,
I was up there on Saturday as it turned out so I have posted some photos of the outside of it. I guess you didn't go for the open day Sunday or we'd have photos from you too.
It was neat to see lots going on up there. Everywhere seemed packed and there were loads of little street things going on, it seems to be this festival that is on around the Olympics.
We did the cable car again and it stopped running twice while we were there, one of those being while we were out in the middle of it, with bells ringing at the base as it did so.. as seems to be the norm when it stops. We noticed when we got off that there seemed to be Police Officers waiting at the point where you get out of the cable car, as if to have a word with the occupants of one of the cars. I had to guess that some tomfoolery had been going on and that was what had caused the brief stops. I may be guessing wrongly but that was what it all seemed to spell out.
I still want to go see and take photos of things like the missile emplacements as I doubt I'll ever see anti aircraft missiles in parks and on blocks of flats in London again.. well I hope not anyway, even this time it seems a little OTT. I guess that should make for some good photos, and pretty unique ones that we can look back on in the future.
We saw our first folks who seemed dressed as Olympic athletes wanding about. They had Olympic tracksuits on and passes round their necks etc.
