Thumbs up Photos and video area

    Hi all,

Just a line to urge all here to try the Photos and video area on ukexpert. Some people never try uploading a picture and all those who register on the system can upload with great ease, and once you do you may find yourself hooked... I know I am!

Getting your pictures out of boxes and where people can see them seems very worthwhile to me. For reasons I don't understand my pictures look better on here than they do as the original prints too. I guess photos lend themselves to display online.

The Photo area is fast approaching half a million views, and lots and lots of people are looking at the photographs, why not get yours seen too. I do urge you to try at least one or two so you get a feel for what it is all about.

You can of course tell friends and relatives where to view your photographs and they can then come see them at any time and from no matter where they are in the world. It is a very powerful system/concept.

The ukexpert system actually shows each picture you upload in the gallery area you choose, so it may be in family or sport or general uk photos or whatever you feel most suitable. It will also show though in your own personal gallery that shows all pictures you have uploaded, and viewing that is a simple way for friends and relatives to see your pictures.

Each photograph shows who uploaded it, and how many people have viewed it and so on. Knowing some of your photographs have been viewed by 5,000 people is a lot better than them being in a box isn't it, and we have had TV companies ask to use photographs from here. Also companies wanting to use them for boardroom walls, and so on.

.JPG is the normal format to upload. If you have any questions at all about using the system or uploading just ask here, there are dozens of keen users of the system about all the time as you can see from the massive and fast growing photo system.

Not only is the Photos and video system free of charge, prizes are often given out to uploaders. You can see details on the prizes over the last year here.

I look forward to seeing you on the Photos and video area!

    All the best,

    Steve

    Thumbs up

    Steve,

I agree with your Thumbs Up! for the Photos and video area. It really is easy and fun sharing photos with folks all over the world not to mention my family in Colorado. And, I really enjoy looking at everyone else's photos. The ability to upload multiple images at one time is a great improvement.

I have about 18 photos to upload from the Baltimore Inner Harbor in Maryland. If that's enough pics, please create an area for Maryland. Thanks!

    Paula,

I'll go create Maryland right now.

How about 'Marine' or something as one under the Wildlife area, it seems needed as we seem to be getting more and more fish and whales and so on. Is there a better word than Marine or does that work do you think, all comment welcome from all here of course..

    Steve,

"Marine" seems to sum it up. Or "Aquatic" just in case someone is searching expecting to find a squaddie!
With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

Many Thanks! I've uploaded my photos from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. It was a great day. I do like to take photos when it's sunny.

I like Roger's suggestion of "Aquatic" better.
