Red face Problem Paintshop Pro X

    Hi.
I posted on this earlier but its not shown.
Basically since I upgraded to PSP version 10 (X) I have been experiencing all sorts of problems. Is anyone else having trouble?

1). The "link Layers" does not work anymore.

2). When I group a few layers then try to move the group I get the message "You must merge the group" When I challenged Tech Help the told me version 10 does not support that anymore however, their advice on moving layers on their website says you can move all layers in a group together.

3). When I use the pen tool on my laptop it always draws it on a raster layer but I want it on a vector. When I use the pen tool on my desktop it does create it on a vector however, then when I want to draw other lines with other properties (colour, width) I create another vector layer to do that on as you always did. With the new vector selected in the layers palet I draw another line/shape but it creates it on the first vector with all its properties.

Contacting tech help concerning the link issue I'm told i probably do not know how to do it and that i will have to use their pay service. I have been using PSP since version 7. They have advised me to uninstall PSP using thier Zapp.exe and using msconfig all which i have done to no avail.

I find it strange that I am having various problems on both my computers but Corel seem to treat me as though the problem is just with me, my incompetence or something else my end.

Is anyone else having trouble with PSP version X?

    In Christ, Karl

    Karl,

Patience is a virtue ya know... I'd suggest that you relax a little, and perhaps slow down and think about why a new joiners messages may not appear instantly on systems they sign up to.

New members like yourself have their messages moderated before they go on view... this makes the dopes who join and post adverts etc completely waste their time here...and it works well for us.

So, we made your second message live and deleted the first one.

I sometimes use PSP and installed v10/X some time back. Personally I did not like the look of it so I continued to use v8. I'd suggest you may want to do something similar.

If you believe the software has a bug you should report it to the makers.. and if they want to they will fix it.

If you want training on how to use the software they'll probably want paying as you seem to say.

Perhaps like Corel, I get poor vibes from your messages... and as for the sign off...well.. I don't care if you are 'in Christ' or 'in Budda' or 'in sane'... why does that have to be on a software related message here I wonder...

So, I suggest you slow down...read some manuals.....and report any certain bugs to Corel.... and consider if you really need to mention your imaginary friend in messages about software...as it just makes you look odd...doesn't it....

    Steve
